"We managed to get a 51% discount on the new purchase of Workvivo by being completely transparent and sticking to the initial budget of $37k from the very start. Initial pricing from Workvivo was $76k and they mentioned the only way to get near this figure is by descoping, through multi-year etc. However, we stuck to the same goal, introduced a few competitors (Happeo, Lattice, HiBob) to the equation and managed to get the original requested scope at a huge discount.
